A bindrune is a combination of two (2) or more runes to make a new symbol/glyph.

This is one I made that represents the words Delay, Deny, Defend, Depose. “Delay, Deny, Defend” is a phrase often used to describe the tactics insurance companies use to maximize their profits at the expense of patients’ health and lives. (Delay, Deny, Defend: Why Insurance Companies Don’t Pay Claims and What You Can Do About It by Jay M. Feinman). And “Deny, Defend, Depose” was written on the casings of the bullets that were found at the scene of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s death.

To me this represents a catalyst for all the rage and grief for-profit insurance has caused me and so many others to flow through. A well of energy to be drawn from for strength, comfort and luck during problems with healthcare and a soothing motion while filling out paperwork.

I wanted to make a symbol that was easy to quickly draw and that worked no matter what direction it’s flipped or rotated.

Runes can represent letters, words, ideas or a combination of these things. Runes are written phonetically—based on speaking not spelling. This helps preserve the runecarver’s voice in a way and gives a lot of creative freedom for combining them to express yourself.
