I don’t know if the ‘Maria’ was meant on its own or in the place of addressing Lord, God, etc.—though I really like that idea. It also has ten ridges on its dorsal fin, which I imagine someone using to keep track of the ten Hail Mary prayers that make a decade of a rosary. Like pocket prayer fidget~
